How to Prepare for Your Tacoma Airbrush Tan

Preparation makes a huge difference in how your tan develops and fades.

Exfoliate before your appointment and arrive with clean, dry skin. Avoid applying deodorant, lotions, oils or other products immediately before your tan unless you’ve specifically been instructed otherwise.

Loose, dark clothing is also a good choice to wear after your appointment.

And remember: a sunless tan gives your skin the appearance of being tan, but it is not sunscreen. Continue using appropriate sun protection when you’re outside.

Should I Sugar Before or After My Spray Tan?

If you also receive sugaring hair removal, schedule your sugaring before your airbrush tan—not immediately afterward.

Sugaring exfoliates the skin while removing the hair, so doing it after your tan could also remove some of your newly developed color.

This is especially important if you’re planning a Brazilian sugaring appointment and spray tan before a vacation, wedding or other event.
